Theobroma cacao
Español- Es un árbol que pueda llegar a medir 25 pies de altura, pero se recomienda podarlo a los 8 pies para poder crearle sombra a sus frutos y cosecharlos facilmente. Crece bien en sombra de otros árboles o palmas. Esta variedad que crece naturalmente en Patillas tiene frutos  amarillos, ovalados y pueden medir 10" pulgada de largo. Su pulpa es jugosa, y sus semillas son grandes y de buen calidad.

English- This tree can measure up to 25 feet high, but we recommend to prune at 8 feet to create a shade for the fruits and  for an easier harvest. It grows well in the shade of bigger trees. The fruits are oval and yellow. They can measure 10" inch long. The pulp is juicy and sweet and the seeds are big and have a good quality.
