Mixed green manure cover crop
 
It is a mixture of seeds that help improve the soil by fixing nitrogen from the air into the soil for the use of the next plants to be planted. This mixture can be grown in your garden during the hurricane months, when many of your favorite vegetables won’t grow as well as in other seasons. We plant this mixture to let the garden rest during these months.
 
Once the plant blooms, they  can be chopped and incorporated into the soil as compost. This will take about a month and a half.

Canavalia
String Beans (Phaseolus vulgarius)
Bush Beans (Phaseolus vulgarius)
Fava Beans (Vicia faba)
Corn (Zea mays)
Peanut (Arachis Hypogaea)
